Before, During, And After Your Carpet Installation
By taking the proper steps at every phase of installation, you can prepare for outstanding finished results!
Before Your Installation:
New carpet installation will require a perfectly level subfloor and a completely empty room! Remove all furniture and items from your room, closet spaces, and walls. We can help you assess the proper flooring removal steps, subfloor prep, removing trim and doors, and other considerations. The new carpet rolls will need to acclimate to your room’s humidity and temperature for 3-5 days beforehand.
During Your Installation:
Establish adequate ventilation in the home during your carpet installation. Since your carpet installers are using tools such as nail guns, knee kickers, and pile cutters, it is important to keep kids and pets away from the process. We also advise designating a work area in the home for your installers to keep carpet rolls and tools. Be home and available during installation to answer questions and address any complications.
After Your Installation:
Use this time to ask your installers any questions you may have and make sure that your doors have full range of motion with the new carpet. Although your new carpet can receive light foot traffic without shoes within the first 24 hours, we recommend waiting at least 48 to 72 hours before heavy foot traffic and restoring your furnishings. This will allow any glue to dry out first and avoid creating dents from heavy weight and impact.
